    Comprehensive Speech & Language Evaluations

A comprehensive evaluation is the first step in understanding your child's unique communication strengths and areas of need. Nicole uses a combination of standardized assessments, clinical observations, parent interviews, play-based interactions, and professional judgment to develop a complete picture of your child's communication skills.

    Following the evaluation, families receive:

    • A thorough assessment of speech, language, play, social communication, and other areas as appropriate

    • A detailed, easy-to-understand written evaluation report

    • A clear explanation of the findings and recommendations

    • Individualized, functional goals based on the child's strengths, needs, and family priorities

    • Referrals to other professionals when additional support or collaboration may be beneficial

Every evaluation is personalized because no two children communicate in exactly the same way. The goal is to provide families with meaningful information and a clear plan to help their child build communication skills that support success at home, school, and in everyday life.

  • Speech & Language Screenings

A speech and language screening is a brief, informal assessment designed to identify whether a child may benefit from a comprehensive evaluation. Screenings provide a snapshot of a child's communication skills and can help determine if further assessment or intervention is recommended.

During the screening, Nicole observes and discusses areas such as speech clarity, language development, social communication, play skills, and overall communication milestones appropriate for the child's age.

    Following the screening, families receive:

    • A summary of the findings

    • Recommendations based on the child's current communication skills

    • Guidance on whether continued monitoring, a comprehensive evaluation, or speech therapy may be appropriate

    • Practical strategies to support communication at home

While screenings are not diagnostic, they can be a valuable first step for families with questions or concerns about their child's communication development.

Florece Therapy offers speech and language screenings for families as well as community partners, including daycares, preschools, private schools, pediatric offices, and multidisciplinary clinics. Screenings are a convenient way to identify children who may benefit from further evaluation and to promote early identification and intervention.

  • 60 minute Parent or Caregiver Virtual Consultation

This virtual consultation provides a more in-depth, individualized discussion for families who want extended time, deeper guidance, or support with more complex concerns.

During this session, we will thoroughly review your child’s speech and language development, discuss patterns you are noticing at home, and explore how communication skills may be impacting daily routines, behavior, or learning. You will receive personalized recommendations, education on milestones, and targeted strategies tailored to your child and family.

This consultation is ideal if you:

    • Have ongoing or multiple concerns

    • Want detailed guidance and individualized strategies

    • Have questions about bilingual language development

    • Need help deciding between evaluation, therapy, or monitoring

    • Want support understanding previous evaluations or reports

This session is parent-focused. The child does not need to be present. This consultation does not serve as a formal evaluation or diagnosis.
